Grenada PM will participate in the Climate Ambition Summit 2020

Saint George’s,  Grenada: Prime minister of Grenada Keith Mitchell will be among world leaders participating in the Climate Ambition Summit today.

The Summit is doing held on the 5th anniversary of the landmark Paris Agreement. It will be co-hosted with the United Kingdom, the United Nations and France, in partnership by Chile and Italy.

Conference organisers tell world leaders are expected to use the Summit as an opportunity to announce ambitious fresh commitments following the Paris Agreement.

Moreover, organisers anticipate that “the Summit will be an important moment to drive forward collective work as we move towards COP26. It will be an opportunity to leaders to bring forth new commitments that put us firmly on a greener, more resilient, and sustainable route, and put the world on track to deliver global net-zero emissions also limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C.”

The timings for the Summit is 10:00 am as per the local time and the time for the speech of the Prime minister of Grenada is expected to be by 

The Summit gets started at 10:00 am local time and the Prime Minister is expected to speak about 12:30 pm.

As the environment is the serious concern for the world, almost every part of the country is suffering from the environmental problems more due to which many diseases caused, deadly COVID 19 gives us an indication for that we have to be more aware of the environmental issues. 

From the past few years, Grenda is continuously taking steps in favour of the environment, especially the sustainable development. 

So because of all these steps, Grenada plays a vital role in environmental issues.
