Grenada: In the World Athletics Championships 2022, Kirani James placed 2nd and advanced to the Semi-finals of the competition with a time of 45.29. He will play the semi-finals on Wednesday night, while the finals of the Championship will be held on Friday.
Grenada authorities stated, “We’re #Proud of your accomplishments, King James.” Grenada’s Kirani James placed 2nd in the World Athletics Championships 2022. The 29-year-old Track Star entered the world championships as the third-fastest man this year, finishing second behind Michael Norman at the Eugene Diamond League meeting in May.
On Sunday, he advanced to the Semi-finals of the competition with a time of 45.29! The Semi-finals will run off on Wednesday night, followed by the final on Friday.
2022 World Athletics Championships, the eighteenth edition of the World Athletics Championships, are currently ongoing at Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, United States. The championships start on July 15 to end will be on July 24, 2022.
The sports event was originally scheduled for August 6-15, 2021. However, due to the two years halt of the COVID-19 pandemic, the World Athletics announced the postponement of the event on April 8, 2022.
