Grenada: Grenada kicked off the women’s football league on Friday, June 30, 2023, with thrilling matches. The tournament will be held at Queen’s Park. 

Grenada Football Association took to Facebook and said, “Women’s Competitions To Be Launched Today. It marks the beginning of a thrilling journey for women’s football in Grenada as we kick off not one, but THREE competitions.” 

Women’s League 7V7 at Queen’s Park: They have an impressive lineup of 10 teams registered for this exciting tournament. People are ready to witness the fierce competition and skilful play as these talented teams battle it out for glory on the field. 

 U14 Parish-based Futsal Competition 5V5: Taking place on the Queen’s Park Hard Court, this fast-paced tournament will showcase the immense talent and passion of our young footballers.

 U17 Parish-based Futsal Competition 5V5: The action continues on the Queen’s Park Hard Court with the U17 Parish-based Futsal Competition. It will feature talented young athletes from different parishes competing with all their might, showcasing their technical prowess and teamwork.

These competitions are a testament to the Grenada Football Association’s unwavering commitment to women’s football. By providing these platforms, we aim to empower, promote, and elevate the women’s game in our nation.

Grenada Football Association said, “Let’s come together, support our women’s football, and celebrate the dedication and skill of these amazing athletes. Join us at Queen’s Park to witness the passion, resilience, and fierce competition that these competitions will undoubtedly offer.” 

Grenada Football Association National Under 19 Tournament game between Eagles Super Strikers and St. John’s Sports played at Fond.GFA Under 19 action between Queen’s Park Rangers U19 and Carenage U19 at Morne Jaloux.

The matches under the women’s football league will enhance the sporting capacity of the girls. It will encourage women in sports and pave the developmental path for their future in the sporting. Earlier, Grenada Football Association (GFA) also hosted the highly anticipated event of the summer: GFA Summer of Soccer.
