The scholarship for the Grenada Houston Association (GHA) and Mother Noel Charity are opened for students of the Secondary and Tertiary Levels.

Grenada: The scholarship for the Grenada Houston Association (GHA) and Mother Noel Charity are opened for students of the Secondary and Tertiary Levels.

The scholarship will be provided to students in the fields related to Science, Agriculture and other Interdisciplinary Areas for the 2023-2024 academic year. 

Grenada Houston Association (GHA) scholarship

While announcing the eligibility criteria, the government of Grenada said that the scholarship will be provided to the qualifying individuals. The government also invited suitable applicants and said that is a great time to avail the opportunity of quality education.

  • All the applicants must be registered as a full-time student at the institution of study. 
  • The applicants must be student of the secondary level in forms three and four times. 
  • There should also be TAMCC students in the specific subject areas. 
  • The average of the Secondary School students should be average, while the students from Tertiary institutions must have gained a GPA of 3.0. 
  • Applicants must have evidence of being economically challenged or disadvantaged.
  • The applicants who are from Tertiary level must have career direction related to the Agriculture Industry, Health Related Field or other interdisciplinary areas for the development of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique and must define their career goals.

Additionally, the value of the award has been announced. Each successful applicant will be awarded US$500.00 for the academic year. 

The completed application for the scholarship must consist of the following things: 

  • There should be the submission of a handwritten essay of 250-300 words. The topic of the essay will be applicants’ career goals. 
  • Applicants must complete the application forms through the link provided by the government of Grenada. 
  • They will also have to submit two letters of reference from current or former teachers. 
  • There should be the submission of the copy of the transcript/certificates or in some cases, a student progress report. 
  • The completed applications should be submitted in proper scanned format. The application should be emailed to the government. 
  • The deadline for the submission of the application will be Thursday, November 30, 2023. 

The Ministry of Education and Youth Development of Grenada invited the applications for the scholarships and said that this is the perfect opportunity for the students. 

Mother Noel Charity Scholarship 

The Mother Noel Charity Scholarship is opened for the students of Grenada, Carriacou, and Petite Martinique for the 2024 Academic Year. 

The eligibility criteria for the scholarships are as follows: 

  • Applicants must be Grenadian Nationals 
  • There must be attendance of the students in the secondary school, college or university full-time in Grenada
  • At the College or University level, they must have defined career goals. 
  • There must be proper demonstration of the financial need for a scholarship (not solely based on academic achievement. 
  • The value of award is EC$1,800 to assist the students. 

Application Requirements

  • Applicants must complete scholarship application form properly. 
  • There should be 250-300 word hand-written or typed essay. The essay should feature the detail of the applicant’s career goals and financial need.
  • There should be a letter of reference from the principal or head of the current institution. Alternatively, letters of reference from two (2) current teachers, or one (1) current and one (1) former within the last two (2) years.
  • There should be Certified copy of official transcript/certificates.
  • All applicants must be completed applications must be submitted with supporting documents to the official email-id.
