Grenada Table Tennis Association hosted the 2022 GTTA National Table Tennis Championship. After the series of matches, the finals of the championship were held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022.

Grenada: Grenada Table Tennis Association hosted the 2022 GTTA National Table Tennis Championship. After the series of matches, the finals of the championship were held on Wednesday, December 14, 2022. 

Grenada Table Tennis Association extended greetings and wishes to all winners of the championship. They also extended gratitude to the sponsors of the tournament for the successful staging of the event. 

“Congratulations to all winners of the 2022 GTTA National Table Tennis Championships! Thank you to all supporters and sponsors of this year’s tournament, who contributed to a successful event, “said the association. 

The Grenada Table Tennis National Table Tennis Championships promises exciting matches in the finals being held today, Wednesday, December 14.

In the battle for the men’s singles, Semi-Final #1 features defending Champion Shannon Douglin vs Former Champion Jason Stanislaus; In Semi-Final #2, Junior St. John plays Trevor Layne.

Other events include the Women’s Open Singles, Under-19 Boys, Under-17 Girls, Under-15 boys; Under-13 Boys and Girls; Under-11 Boys; Veterans’ Open 55 years and over.

Games serve off from 5:30 p.m. at the Public Workers Union Building, Tanteen, St. Geroge’s.

Earlier, the national Table Tennis Team of Grenada also participated in the Caribbean Mini/Pre Cadet Table Tennis Championships in Guyana. 

The Grenada U13 Boys Table Tennis Team departed Grenada today to compete at the Caribbean Mini/Pre Cadet Table Tennis Championships in Guyana. 

Players include Jonnique Mark, Shaundel Straker, Zidane Gibbs, Kniequan Sam. The team is headed by Coach Rose Dinnoh-Newland and accompanied by President of the Grenada Table Tennis Association, Dr. Alister Antoine. 

The tournament runs from October 14-19, 2022 and will see participation from Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, Saint Lucia, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Suriname and the host country, Guyana.

The government of Grenada always hosted various sporting events to encourage sports skills among the players of the country. They enhance the exposure of the young generations towards sports. 

Earlier Grenada Football Association hosted inter-zonal matches to encourage the youth who loves to play football. Besides this, Netball Championship was also organised in the countries where girls and boys participated.
