Grenada: The retail prices of petroleum products such as Gasoline, Diesel, and Kerosene will be increased from Wednesday, January 18, 2023 in Grenada. The government of Grenada announced the new prices of fuel products for Carriacou and Petit Martinique also.

The General public is hereby informed that effective, Wednesday, January 18th, 2023, the retail prices of petroleum products (Gasoline, Diesel, Kerosene, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas, (LPG), commonly known as, Cooking Gas, in the State of Grenada will be as follows:

For GRENADA:

  • Gasoline- The old price of Gasoline in Grenada was $11.19/1G and the new price will be $15.00/1G
  • Diesel- The old price of Diesel in Grenada was $12.82/IG and now the Diesel will cost $15.84/1G. There is an increment in the price of this fuel product.
  • Kerosene- Kerosene will also cost high to the pockets of the people of Grenada as the old price was $12.77/1G and the new price will be$13.38/1G.

L.P.G (Cooking Gas)

  • 20 lbs Cylinder- The old price of the cylinder was $40.00 and the new price is the same as it will cost the same to the pockets of Grenadines.
  • 100 lbs Cylinder- The price of the fuel product will decline as the old price was $283.35 and the new price will be $203.85.
  • Bulk- The old price of Bulk is $2.90/lb and the new price will be $5.00/lb.

For CARRIACOU:

  • Gasoline- The old price of Gasoline in the region is $11.37/IG and there is an increment in the price as the new price will be $15.00/IG.
  • Diesel- The fuel product will also cost high to the citizens of Carriacou as the old price was $13.00/1G and the new price will be $15.84/IG
  • Kerosene- The old price of Kerosene was $12.95/IG and the new price will be $13.38/IG.

L.P.G (Cooking Gas)

  • 20 lbs Cylinder- The price of the Cooking Gas will remain the same which is $49.00.
  • 100 lbs Cylinder- The price of the Cylinder will cost high for the pockets of the residents as the old price was $306.15 and the new price will be $316.85.
  • Bulk- The old price of the Bulk was 2.90/lb and the new price will be $3.00/lb.

PETIT MARTINIQUE

  • Gasoline- There is a significant increment in the price of Gasoline as the old price was $11.37/IG and the new price will be $12.06/IG
  • Diesel- The new price of Diesel will be $12.96/IG and there will be a decline in the price as the old price was $13.00/IG.
  • Kerosene- The price of the petroleum product will witness an increment as the old price was $12.95/IG and the new price will be $13.38/IG.

L.P.G (Cooking Gas)

  • 100 lbs Cylinder- The price of the Cylinder will witness an increment as the old price was $306.15 and the new price will be $316.85.
  • Bulk- The old price of Bulk was 2.90/lb and the new price will be $3.00/lb.

The government of Grenada announced:

  • Effective January 18, 2023, a petrol tax of $3.50 is charged per imperial gallon of gasoline  and diesel.
  • In line with statements made by the Minister of Finance in the 2023 Budget Speech, petroleum prices of Gasoline, Diesel, and Kerosene, throughout Grenada and Carriacou have been harmonized with effect from January 18, 2023.
  • The new retail prices are computed based on the average of actual C.L.F. rates for the period December 13, 2022, to January 10, 2023.
  • Petroleum products are price-controlled goods and therefore no retailer shall vary the prices stated.
  • The government of Grenada asked the consumers are strongly encouraged to immediately notify the Price Control/Consumer Affairs Unit in the Ministry of Legal Affairs of any instance of overpricing at telephone number: 440-1369.
