Employees from the Ministries of Agriculture, Education, and Public Works, Regional Administration, Guyana Livestock Development Authority (GLDA), and the Guyana Police Force also accompanied the Labour Minister.

During the meetings, a number of issues were raised, such as the rehabilitation of community centres, drainage, and irrigation, repairs to regional offices, and facelifts to nursery schools, among other much-needed developments.

This provided the minister and team the opportunity to document the resident’s requests, which will be looked at in the near future by Government.

Also persons who were desirous of receiving Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) courses offered by the bit were given information to empower themselves.

Under the ministry’s mandate to promote capacity building, residents were given the opportunity to seek employment through the Central Recruitment and Manpower Agency (CRMA).

The Cabinet Outreach to the regions throughout Guyana will give citizens of Guyana the opportunity to inform Government Ministers directly on issues affecting them within their communities. A recent exercise was held in Region Three earlier in the year, which saw several transformations within the Region.
