Pakistan: The citizens of Gilgit-Baltistan have been demanding a full supply of wheat flour, pulses and power and protesting against the government of Pakistan. According to the reports, the disappointment against inflation and unemployment has also triggered demonstrations among the people in PoK.
Pakistan has been facing a huge economic crisis due to floods and the food crisis. The citizens have criticized the government of Pakistan for their leadership failure. However, the people of PoK have faced the worst situation as their President, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, flew and went out for his two-week visit to Turkey, the United Kingdom and Belgium.
According to the times, the urgency of such flight during the times when people are protesting against their worst situation also triggers anger among the public. Pakistan leaders have not the first time leave their country and people in times of crisis.
The protests have been occurring on the streets of Pakistan for the past several months. It is reported that the army has been accused of large-scale land grabbing and usurping of mineral mines in the region. People across Gilgit Baltistan have been criticizing the local administration and federal government for supporting the Pakistan army.
Various regions, such as Manawar, witnessed huge rage among the youngsters as they protested against the atrocities of the army. The army also showed bad behaviour toward the protestors and charged them as terrorists.
According to the reports, the army across the region used to involve in such practices and show their atrocities towards the citizens and clashes over small matters became so common.
Various people across Gilgit-Baltistan stated that the conflicts are being created by the government of Pakistan to hide their failure and fear of public revolt. According to the report, the region has been deteriorating day by day as there has been a huge loss of political and constitutional identity in the past seven decades.
The country has been facing a serious financial crisis, and become a matter of concern. The region has also demanded funds from the federal government of Pakistan.
