Antigua and Barbuda: Antigua and Barbuda announced the return of direct flights from Orlando with low-fare carrier Frontier Airlines. The Frontier is all set to start weekly nonstop flights between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and V.C. from November 4, 2023.
V.C. Bird International Airport took to Facebook and expressed pleasure in the resumption of the service. It added, “Eager to see Frontier Airlines on our tarmac once more as they begin weekly nonstop flights to our welcoming and beautiful airport from the Orlando International Airport (MCO). Service resumes – 4th of November this year.”
The resumption of the service will be a significant stepping stone for Antigua and Barbuda as it will assist the country in strengthening its position in the Florida market.
Antigua and Barbuda’s Minister of Tourism, Civil Aviation, Transportation and Investment, Charles Fernandez, expressed pleasure in returning to the service of Frontier Airline. He stated that step will help in boosting the tourism sector and make the country welcome even more stayover visitors.”
He further called Frontire their perfect partner to broaden their airlift, citing that it will strengthen their connectivity and broaden their network by increasing the number of visitors from the US market.
CEO James also noted that the service will help the country to recover from the phase of the COVID-19 pandemic and return their airlift to pre-pandemic levels. The excellent partnership of Antigua and Barbuda with Frontier Airlines will enhance the tourism sector and make passengers explore new options. It will also enhance their travel experience while upgrading their hotel product”.
The airline began its service for the season from Orlando in Winter 2021 ad proved to be a great success for Antigua and Barbuda as it accelerated the tourism sector by giving access to US market. Hence, the airlines also helped the destination to improve their offerings and enhance the passengers’ travel experience.
