Four robbers were arrested in Jamaica

Day by day crimes increasing in Jamaica, recently police has arrested four robbers and a firearm captured on Reds Hills Road, St Andrew.

Police in a statement stated that they about 3:20 pm, lawmen from the St Andrew North Police Anti-Robbery Initiative team reacted to a robbery in progress. This is a big success for them.

For the further investigation the team, backed by the Police Emergency Communication Centre and CCTV footage, was able to catch a black motor car with robbers aboard with Charlton Alley in the area.

The driver of the vehicle was flagged to stop; however, he sped off and crashed a short distance away.

The police told that the men then exited the vehicle and started gunfire at the police.

The lawmen actively tracked them, apprehended all four, and seized a semi-automatic pistol with a magazine affixed and some 9mm rounds of ammunition.

The motor vehicle was searched, and several cellular phones, one laptop, an undetermined sum of cash and other private belongings were recovered.

The police stated the vehicle fits the description of a car that has highlighted in several robberies in Kingston, St Andrew, St Catherine and St Thomas.

In light of this recovery, lawmen are requesting to anyone who was robbed in recent times to make contact with the Constant Spring Police.

In addition, somebody who previously made reports is urged to revisit their local police stations.

This level of alertness only makes the police to catch these robbers, as it has also been seen that not only in Jamaica but across the world crime rates has been suddenly rosed after there have been huge losses in the job after the pandemic of COVID 19.
