Castries, St Lucia: Four more matches were completed as the 2022 Ministry of Youth Development and Sports Secondary School 40 Overs Under – 15 Cricket Tournament continued on Friday June 17.

Victories were recorded for the St Lucia Sports Academy over Grand Riviere Secondary, Vieux Fort Comprehensive Secondary over Micoud Secondary, Corinth Secondary over Ciceron Secondary and Soufriere Comprehensive Secondary over Beanefield Secondary.

At the Wenn Playing Field, Grand Rivière Secondary batting first was dismissed for 31 in 10 overs.

Right arm seam bowler Sheldon Willie continued with his outstanding bowling display in the tournament with another standout performance for the St Lucia Sports Academy.

Sheldon Willie took 6 wickets for 5 runs in 3 overs including a ‘Hat Trick’, his 3rd in the tournament thus far. This was also his 3 consecutive 5 wicket haul.

The other wicket takers were captain Theo Edward with 2 for 6 in 2 overs and 1 wicket each to Nathaniel Joseph and Keylan Hippolyte.

In reply the St Lucia Sports Academy easily got to their target finishing on 36 without loss in 4.1 overs with the opening batsmen Theo Edward making 26 not out and Zanakki Louis 4 not out.

RESULT: ST LUCIA SPORTS ACADEMY DEFEATED GRAND RIVIERE SECONDARY BY 10 WICKETS.

At the Piaye Playing Field, Micoud Secondary taking first knock was bowled out for 28 in 8.2 overs.

Doing the damage with the ball for Vieux Fort Comprehensive were, D’mhari Ferdinand with remarkable bowling figures of 8 for 11 in 4.2 overs and Torshawn Walter 2 for 16 in 4 overs.

In reply Vieux Fort Comprehensive finished on 31 for 1 in 5.2 overs.

Seff Reaneau was the wicket taker for Micoud Secondary.

RESULT: VIEUX FORT COMPREHENSIVE SECONDARY DEFEATED MICOUD SECONDARY BY 9 WICKETS.

At the Mindoo Philip Park, Corinth Secondary batting first was dismissed for 112 in 20 overs with Jaheem Simeon making 39, Royston Fanis 31 and Messi Gerson 10.

The wicket takers for Ciceron Secondary were, Sherlon Daniel with 4 for 21 in 5 overs, Dervelle Gustave 3 for 16 in 4 overs and Jean – Louis Daniel 2 for 23 in in 3 overs.

In reply Ciceron Secondary was dismissed for 51 in 12 overs with Sherlon Daniel making 11.

The wicket takers for Corinth Secondary were, Royston Fanis with 4 for 3 in 3 overs, Jaheem Simeon 4 for 21 in 3.2 overs and 1 wicket to Ethan Pereneau.

RESULT: CORINTH SECONDARY DEFEATED CICERON SECONDARY BY 61 RUNS.

At the Phillip Marcellien Grounds, Beanefield Secondary batting first was dismissed for 56 in 9.2 overs with Siaus Brin making 10.

The wicket takers for Soufriere Comprehensive were, Elenzare Cazaubon with 3 for 6 in 3 overs, Ranel Jn Baptiste 2 for 5 in 3 overs and 1 wicket each to Kailon Flavius and Jashawn Mitchell.

In reply Soufriere Comprehensive eased to victory finishing on 57 for 1 in 9.2 overs with Samuel Alexander making 14 not out.

Derlan St Ange was the wicket taker for Beanefield Secondary.

RESULT: SOUFRIERE COMPREHENSIVE SECONDARY DEFEATED BEANEFIELD SECONDARY BY 9 WICKETS.
