The Minister of Foreign Affairs of St Kitts and Nevis, Mark Brantley, calls upon the nation’s youth citizens to use the international scholarships that the island’s authorities retain utilizing the nation’s diplomatic relations.

While briefing the nation at the Tea Radio Programme, Mark Brantley said that the government authorities of St Kitts and Nevis had released numerous notices attracting youngsters to apply for the available scholarships in Taiwan, Serbia and Turkey. He further added that the current energy among youngsters to apply for available scholarships is very low, and more people should come forward to bear the fruit.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs stated that “many among us go and borrow big amounts of money and put our families under the pressure of huge debt and expenditure to receive an education that might get it for free if one looks carefully for it.”

While emphasizing on the subject of education, Minister said that it does not matter from where a person completed his graduation because it is just an entry pass for one to get in the park.

The Minister added, “it does not matter for one that if you earned your graduation certificate in Morocco, Taiwan or New York at this point. what actually matters is what one do with it, what one do with the education they have received, and I believe that is the most important factor to be considered.”

While focusing on the need to study abroad, the Minister said, “studying in nations such as Serbia, Taiwan, Morocco and several other countries will help one get awarded a more profound knowledge and appreciation of the different culture, languages and people.”

“I can’t make anyone sure that how important it is in today’s world to make one competitive according to the global context to make you more appealing to an employer,” he added.
