Every Jamaican would get free COVID-19 vaccine, says PM Andrew in Christmas message

Jamaica: Prime Minister of Jamaica Andrew Holness greets Jamaicans on Christmas through a video message.

He said “This year; our Christmas celebration is not as we would want it to be but will celebrate nonetheless, as we acknowledge the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Let us use the season, as families, to reflect and to put our hope and prayers towards a better 2021.”

He also added that “As we go through this pandemic, I acknowledge all our healthcare and frontline workers who continue to do an outstanding job; we owe them a debt of gratitude.”

He pointed out that “2020 has been a difficult year; however, we have overcome much, and there’s still much for which to be thankful.”

In his message PM, Andrew Holness thanked all health workers who dedicatedly serve people in the pandemic.

He said”, Health workers did an extremely outstanding job in the difficult conditions in the pandemic.”

PM added “Significant testing, and vaccine news gives us a positive hope, but we could not careless until we win the complete battle .”

PM Holness also notified that every Jamaican would get the vaccine but first will be frontline workers on the priority list.

He also assured that every Jamaican would get free of cost COVID-19 vaccine, but in the meantime, he urged to be completely vigilant.

This Christmas PM Andrew Holness strongly recommend / Jamaicans to celebrate Christmas in the home with their family and immediate households.

He requests Jamaicans to use online mode to connect the relatives , friends on this special occasion.

PM Holness also requests those who recently travelled internationally to self-quarantine and keep away from the vulnerable group.

“Thank you, Mr Holness. Merry Christmas and Happy New year to you and your family. God bless you.” Doreen Scarlett replied warmly on the PM wishes.
