Ernest Hilaire congratulates Julien Alfred on emerging champion in 60M in 694s

Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia- Ernest Hilaire extended greetings and congratulations to Julien Alfred on emerging as champion in the 60M in 6.94s.

Castries, Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister of Saint Lucia- Ernest Hilaire extended greetings and congratulations to Julien Alfred on emerging as champion in the 60M in 6.94s. He hailed the athlete for her outstanding performances at the NCAA. 

He took to social media and extended greetings to Julien Alfred for her performance and stated that she never failed to make Saint Lucia proud of her. 

Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia storms to a new PB, NR, NCAA record, World Lead, and the second fastest time EVER to win NCAA gold in the women’s 60m at the NCAA Championships.

Ernest Hilaire cited, “Congratulations to our very own Julien Alfred on her outstanding performances at the NCAA and emerging as champion in the 60M in 6.94s.” 

While hailing Julien Alfred, Deputy Prime Minister Ernest Hilaire added that moments later she broke the collegiate 200M record with a time of 22.01s. This is also the 6th collegiate record time that she has set for this season. 

The undisputed, undefeated 60m NCAA CHAMPION with a collegiate record time (6.94) for the SIXTH time this season, Julien Alfred. 

He said, “Saint Lucia is proud of you.”

Julien Alfred has dropped her own 60m collegiate record by .01 IN THE PRELIMS at NCAA Indoors, running ️. Seconds. She is the only collegiate woman to ever break 7 seconds. She’s done it TWICE (in each of her last 2 races). She has the top 8 collegiate 60m marks and is now the all-time in world history. Her time ties her with the iconic Merlene Ottey as the fastest Caribbean woman of all time. Julien Alfred breaking her own collegiate record in spite of a so-so start and meh finish. The World Record is within reach.
