Castries, Saint Lucia: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information of Saint Lucia- Ernest Hilaire, attended a meeting with all the businesses within the Rodney Bay area and the Rodney Bay Marina on Thursday, March 9, 2023.
The meeting was also attended by an official from the Ministry of Tourism and representatives from the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority. The aim of the meeting was to discuss key issues affecting the community and their business.
While sharing glimpses of the meeting on Facebook, Deputy PM Ernest Hilaire cited, “Today, the Ministry of Tourism, in partnership with the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority, hosted a meeting with all the businesses within the Rodney Bay area and the Rodney Bay Marina.”
He stated that the meeting featured a valuable discussion on the ways to strengthen the businesses of the Rodney Bay area and identify significant opportunities for their progress.
This meeting was to get valuable feedback from the businesses in the mentioned areas on some of the challenges they face, addressing them and identifying opportunities for growth. The discussions were fruitful and highlighted key areas for development.
Calling the meeting a successful initiative, Ernest Hilaire extended full support to them and stated that the outcomes from this forum will certainly benefit their Saint Lucians and visitors alike.
The Ministry of Tourism of Saint Lucia also shared glimpses of the meeting and stated, “Minister for Tourism, Investment, Creative Industries, Culture and Information, Honourable Ernest Hilaire, officials from the Ministry of Tourism along with representatives from the Saint Lucia Tourism Authority met today Thursday, March 9, with the Rodney Bay Business Community to discuss key issues affecting the community.”
The session sought to identify challenges that hinder the operations of the entities as well as solutions and possible interventions that would allow for the further enhancement of the Rodney Bay area.
