Seoul: Elena Kountoura- Member of the European Parliament (MEP) who is on her visit to Seoul to participate as a guest at the World Knowledge Forum 2022 global meeting, where she is involved in certain kinds of activities and meetings with delegations.
She joined the meeting of the delegation in Seoul of Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). MEP Kountoura also held meetings with the Minister of Defense of Seoul, Lee Jong-Sup.
In the meetings, thei discussed several key issues, and she stated, “meeting of the delegation in Seoul of MEPs #DKOR with the Minister of Defense Lee Jong-Sup. We discussed key issues on the EU-ROK defense cooperation agenda.”
Further, the European Parliament delegation also conducted meetings with the Unification Minister of the Republic of Korea Kwon Young-se. In the meeting, they discussed the role of The EU in the wider region.

As part of her visit to Seoul as a member of the EP Delegation for relations with Korea, DKOR, they held an information meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Korea Han Duck-soo and the Ambassador of the EU Delegation, Maria Castillo Fernandez.
During her visit, she also outlined various initiatives and ways to mitigate the challenges that occurred in the Tourism Industry and many more. She also discussed various other matters of concern, such as gender equality and many more.
At the offices of the EU Delegation in South Korea, they were welcomed by Ambassador Maria Castillo Fernandez, where they discussed bilateral relations as part of their official mission in Seoul as members of the EP Delegation for relations with the Korean Peninsula.
MEP Elena Kountoura mentioned, “Standing by every woman in Iran and in every corner of the earth who claims social justice and defends her fundamental right to life, liberty, dignity.”
