Elections Results 2022: CCM candidate Spencer Brand wins Nevis#1 with 631 votes

Spencer Brand of Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) won the Nevis#1 - St Pauls after the declaration of the result of the Nevis Island Assembly election on Monday. 

Nevis: Spencer Brand of Concerned Citizens Movement (CCM) won the Nevis#1 – St Pauls after the declaration of the result of the Nevis Island Assembly election on Monday. 

He secured the constituency with 631 votes which are 50.9 percent. On the other hand, Jaedee Caines of the Nevis Reformation Party received 604 votes, which determined 48.7 percent. 

The result has paved the path for Spencer Brand to the Nevis Island Assembly from St Pauls. Around 1240 persons have cast their vote from the constituency. 

Premier of Nevis and the leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement is also leading from Nevis # 2, which is St Johns, with 371 votes which determined 49.8 persons. On the other hand, the opposition candidate Dr Patricia Bartlette of the Nevis Reformation Party, received 368 votes with 49.4 percent voter turnout. 

However, the declaration of the result is going on. So far, Eric Evelyn of Concerned Citizens Movement is leading from Nevis #3 as he received 736 votes which is 69.6 percent. On the other hand, the opposition candidate Rohan Isles of Nevis Reformation Party received 311 votes which determined 29.4 percent. Hence, it is expected that St George could be in the column of CCM. 

Along with that, Alexis Jeffers of Concerned Citizens Movement is trailing from Nevis # 4, which is St James. He received 742 votes which is 49.3 percent. At the same time, the leading candidate Dr Janice Daniel Hodge of Nevis Reformation Party secured 750 votes, that is 49.8 percent. Besides this, the MRM candidate secured 11 votes from the constituency with 0.7 percent.

From Nevis #5- St Thomas’ Latoya Jones of Concerned Citizens Movement is trailing from the Nevis Reformation Party Candidate Cleohe Stapleton Simmons. Latoya Jones received 508 votes which is 41.6 percent while Simmons of NRP received 712 votes which is 58.4 percent voter turnout. 

Nevis elections have 13172 registered voters and witnessed 5776 persons who cast their votes.
