Election results 2022: Mark Brantley retains his position, wins Nevis 2 with 1313 votes

Leader of Concerned Citizens Movement Mark Brantley retained his position after securing a landslide victory in the Nevis #2, St Johns, with 1313 votes.

Nevis: Leader of Concerned Citizens Movement Mark Brantley retained his position after securing a landslide victory in the Nevis #2, St Johns, with 1313 votes. The results of the Nevis Island Assembly elections 2022 declared that the CCM won three out of five seats. 

Mark Brantley secured the constituency with a voter turnout of 52.2 percent. On the other hand, the opposition candidate Dr Particia Bartlete received 1166 votes, which determined 46.4 percent.

Concerned Citizens Movement secured a landslide victory in the Nevis Island Assembly elections 2022 after winning three out of five electoral districts, which are 1, 2, and 3. At the same time, Nevis Reformation Party won the two districts, 4 and 5. 

Mark Brantley is all set to swore in as the premier of Nevis for the second consecutive term. Concerned Citizens Movement will rule the Nevis Island administration for the next five years. 

The final result of the Nevis Island Assembly elections 2022 are as follows: 

  • Nevis 1: St Paul was secured by Spencer Brand of Concerned Citizens Movement with 631 votes which determined 50.9 percent.
  • Nevis 2: Leader of Concerned Citizens Movement- Mark Brantley won the St Johns constituency with 1313 votes, and the voter turnout stood at 52.2 percent.
  • Nevis 3: Eric Evelyn of Concerned Citizens Movement secured the landslide victory in St Georges with 736 votes. The voter turnout of Evelyn was 69.6 percent.
  • Nevis 4: The Nevis Reformation Party Candidate Dr Janice Daniel Hodge secured St James with 750 votes which determined 49.8 percent. Alexis Jeffers of the Concerned Citizens Movement lost the seat with only eight votes.
  • Nevis 5: St Thomas’ was won by the candidate of Nevis Reformation Party Cleone Stapleton Simmonds, with 712 votes. She secured a 58.4 percent voter turnout. Latoya Jones of the Concerned Citizens Movement lost the seat and received 508 votes.

Mark Brantley led Concerned Citizens Movement has promised development of the different sectors of the country. The candidates of the CCM also extended gratitude to the voters for their support.
