Election day begins in Nevis, Premier Mark Brantley cast vote

The election day started in Nevis at 7 pm on Monday, December 12, 2022. Premier of Nevis and the leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement- Mark Brantley, has cast his vote and shared the glimpses on his social media.

Nevis: The election day started in Nevis at 7 pm on Monday, December 12, 2022. Premier of Nevis and the leader of the Concerned Citizens Movement- Mark Brantley, has cast his vote and shared the glimpses on his social media.

The citizens of Nevis have also been stepping out to cast their votes and exercise their democratic rights. Election day will provide the chance for the citizens to choose their representatives from different constituencies and form the Nevis Island Administration. 

Nevis consisted of five seats, and the electoral office also announced the polling stations for these constituencies. The polling started at 7 pm and will be taken place till 5 pm, and the results will be declared aftermath. 

The candidates under the banner of Concerned Citizens Movement who filed their nomination are as follows: 

  • NEVIS 1 ST. PAULS – SPENCER BRAND
  • NEVIS 2 ST. JOHNS – MARK BRANTLEY
  • NEVIS 3 St. GEORGES – ERIC EVELYN
  • NEVIS 4 ST. JAMES – ALEXIS JEFFERS
  • NEVIS 5 ST THOMAS’ – LATOYA JONES

Premier Mark Brantley also provided information regarding the voting days. He stated, “There have been some early issues with Voters‘ Lists and where people are supposed to vote. I am begging voters to be patient. The CCM needs your vote. Nevis NEEDS YOU.” 

The Concerned Citizens Movement also hosted the final rally for December 12 elections and urged the Nevisians to cast their vote for CCM. 

THE CONCERNED CITIZENS MOVEMENT also launched its 2022-2027 manifesto via its social media platforms and online website. CCM promised that if they will be re-elected to the NIA on December 12, 2022 the party’s leader Premier Mark Brantley and his cabinet promise to improve the life of every citizen on the island of Nevis with these detailed policies, initiatives, projects, and programs that will move Nevis to a higher level in growth, development, social peace, economic stability and transformation, where all citizens will get their fair share of the federal resources and receive good, honest, equitable and transparent government as listed below over the next 5years.
