India: Deputy Minister of Finance for Economic Affairs of Egypt- Sherine ElSharkawy, applauded India and called it an interesting location for tourism and investment. She stated that she is really impressed by the work done by India.

While lauding India as the destination, Deputy Minister asserted that the country offered a lot of opportunities in different sectors, such as the information technology sector. She continued that India has different cultures, which makes it a desirable location for tourism and investment as there are a lot of business opportunities.

The cruise ship- Bengal Paddle in Kolkata hosted the cultural program and dinner for the delegates of the G20, where she made the statement and stated that she really appreciated India for its work and progress. Deputy Minister Sherine ElSharkawy remarked that India had done a great job by inviting countries who are not part of the G20 to share their views and concerns with other countries.

Sherine ElSharkawy appreciated all the working groups for the work and stated that they helped in the discussions and ideas back and forth between the members and non-members. The choice of topics was great and significant for the current economic environment.

Talking about the relationship between India and Egypt, Sherine ElSharkawy added that both nations shared cordial relations, and they are a lot alike in culture, food and music. She added that she will again visit India and attend the meeting of G20, which will be held in Bengaluru. She will visit India to attend the meetings in a month or so.

Sherine ElSharkawy referred to the culture program and hospitality of Kolkata as amazing and stated that the exhibition was quite interesting as it showcased the progress of India. She found the exhibitions very useful.

“The whole atmosphere is very welcoming. In Egypt, we have the river nile, which reminds me of home with a taste of Indian culture. I am really grateful for this opportunity,” Sherine ElSharkawy said
