Roseau, Dominica: The government of the Commonwealth of Dominica is working efficiently on the project called Massacre bypass access which is now closed due to work on the construction. Rayburn Blackmoore, Minister of Justice, Immigration and National Security of Dominica, has shared significant information on the project.

Through his social media post, he stated that the significant work has happened on the Massacre bypass access, and the further work is progressing smoothly.

Blackmoore writes, “Work is progressing satisfactorily on the Massacre bypass access.”

The work is being done on an urgent basis as there is a need for the culvert replacement works on the EO Levlance Highway at Massacre as it will witness significant closure of the main for a few days.

He said, “This is being done in preparation for very urgent culvert replacement works on the E.O. Leblanc Highway at Massacre. The said culvert replacement works will result in the closure of the main for a few days.”

While highlighting some aspects of the rod, the Minister of Dominica stated that this section of the rood is a major artery when most of the population of the country is left from Jimmit to the southern portion of Dominica.

“This section of the road is a major artery since the bulk of the country’s population extends from Jimmit to the southern portion of Dominica. One, therefore, can begin to imagine the spectacular disruption that will emerge without that alternative bypass access,” underscored Blackmoore.

He further extended gratitude to the government of Dominica and minister for public works and the technical staff for their incredible work and for creating great solutions in the circumstances.

“I want to thank the minister for public works and his technical staff for working within the member of parliament of mahout constituency in order to arrive at the best solution in the circumstances,” he added.

Blackmoore further applauded the initiative of the government and stated that this is a government that is futuristic and progressive in its planning. He spoke about a bypass as part Of the overall sustainable development of Massacre, and it can really happen.
