Roseau, Dominica: Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit extended huge wishes to the West Indies team for their victory in the second cricket match of three series against Bangladesh. The Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau has witnessed a highly anticipated two cricket matches between West Indies and Bangladesh on July 2 and July 3, 2022. 

Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit participated in the coin toss ceremony in which West Indies won the toss and decided to bat first. 

PM Skerrit took his social media and extended best wishes to the West Indies teams and noted, “Game 2 of the T20I series, West Indies vs Bangladesh, gets underway at 1:30 today. On Saturday, I participated in the coin toss ceremony ahead of the first game at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium in Roseau. Wi All in.”

Further, he congratulated West Indies teams and stated that Dominica wins following the two T20Is played at Windsor Park over the weekend.

Congratulation to the #Windies for winning the second game in the three-match series against Bangladesh on Sunday.

Prime Minister Skerrit also commend the organizers, grounds staff, other support staff and you, the cricket-loving Dominican public, for presenting our venue as the best place for cricket in the Caribbean. 

He expressed, “We are, without a doubt, ALL IN with our team.”

The team West Indies won the second match of the cricket T20I by 35 runs as the score of the team stood at 195/5, while the score of Bangladesh was 158/6.

Rovman Powell gained a lot of appreciation for his exceptional performances by hitting six (6) sixes in 28 balls, 61 not out and gave a target of 195 runs for 5 to chase, which was too much for Bangladesh. 

In the second inning, Bangladesh scored 158 for six wickets, and WI won by 35 runs. As per the recent statics, West Indies has been leading by 1-0 in the series of three matches.

Further, the third and final match between West Indies and Bangladesh will be held at Guyana National Stadium in Providence on Thursday, July 7, 2022. It is necessary for Bangladesh to win the match to survive in the series.
