They also reassured the Ministry of Tourism’s commitment to providing continued support to their respective organizations.

Through conversation, they reassure the Ministry of Tourism’s commitment to enhancing the Layou Visitor Center, Mero Beach and provide continued support to their respective organizations. They hope to continue these site visits in the north this week.

The Tourism Ministry of Dominica also shared an update on Titiwi Festival, which is on this Weekend and added, “Titiwi Festival is on this Weekend. We invite all to visit St. Joseph this Weekend for some Tasty Titiwi.”

The annual Titiwi Festival of Layuou is held every year in order to celebrate the small fish named “Titiwi”. It has become a part of the heritage of the community as they have been eating the fish for a very long time. At the festival, the cooks always made unique local cuisine around the small fish and visitors across the globe tasted the authentic cuisine.

Starting in 2007, the festival of Titiwi has been becoming a more authentic, interesting and much-awaiting festival across the country. It included numerous fun activities called zip-lining around the Layou River, boat rides, ATV rides, beach football, sack races and more.

The festival also featured various kinds of food and drinks, music and an art and craft exhibition.
