Dominica: Tourism Ministry hosts another Community Outreach Drive in Portsmouth
Roseau, Dominica: The Ministry of Tourism, International Transport, and Maritime Initiatives of the Commonwealth of Dominica hosted another Community Outreach Drive in Portsmouth. The drive was held under Small Business One Stop Shop initiatives on Saturday, August 27, 2022.
In order to strengthen the small business across Dominica, the government of Dominica organized various community outreach drives in different areas where they engaged with people and made them aware of the initiative.
The Ministry asked people to stay in touch with the schedule and what community they will be visiting next while adding, “Rain or Sun Small Business Community Outreach Drive will go on! Portsmouth was great! #StayTuned to hear what community we will be visiting next. On a path to create multiple successful small businesses in Dominica.”
Earlier, the Ministry of Tourism hosted their drive in Penville, where Prime Minister- Dr Roosevelt Skerrit engaged and addressed the small business owners.
The team engaged, educated, and informed the people on the Small Business One Stop Shop. Under the initiatives, 120 Small Business beneficiaries in #Dominica have undergone critical prerequisites for receiving grant funding! Equipping them with training in; Business Planning & Legalities, Customer Service, Marketing, Sales & Negotiations, Financial Management, and more.
Just a week after launching the Small Business One Stop Shop, the team has gone on two community outreach drives in Laplaine and Newtown.
The Ministry of Tourism recognize the importance of a thriving MSME sector in Dominica; therefore, they will continue to create avenues for businesses to strive.
