Roseau, Dominica: Dominica is all set to host Jean Pierre Under 16 Youth Netball Championship at the Windsor Park Stadium Forecourt on March 24, 2023- April 1, 2023. The championship is held with a partnership between the Dominica Netball Association, the government of Dominica and the Caribbean Netball Association.
The participating countries are as follows:
The entry fee for the Under 16 Youth Netball Championship is $5. The sponsors of the championship are Breakfast with the style, BeeNatural, Caribbean Netball Championship, Jaydes Naturals, CONDIE CEST and Lovelee Things.
Dominica Netball Association stated that the Under 16 Nature Isle girls are getting prepared to represent the country at the Jean Pierre Under 16 Youth Netball Championship carded for March 24th to April 1st 2023.
The Sports Division has selected a 12 member team to represent Dominica at the Jean Pierre Caribbean Youth Netball Tournament, the tournament will be held in Dominica from March 24 to 29, 2023.
The team will be presented to the media on Monday 20th at 3 pm at a presentation ceremony at the player’s pavilion at the Windsor Park Stadium. Dominica’s team for the tournament has been in training since December 9th, 2022. Six countries will participate in this year’s tournament to take place at the Windsor Park forecourt.
The Convest High School of the country expressed pleasure to be part of the Netball Championship and stated that their five players will play in the tournament.
The school stated that the country will host 4 other Caribbean territories in the 2023 Jean Pierre Under 16 youth tournament in collaboration with the Dominica Netball Association and the Government of the Nature Isle from March 24 to April 1 2023.
“We are happy to announce that 5 players are CHS Girls! Jharrissa Gage, Kenya John, Aneesha Pinard, Ciara Gachette and Delicia Julien.We invite CHS Alumna and families to come on down to the WPSS to support!!!. We are so happy and proud of you girls,” said the school.
