Roseau, Dominica: Dominica is all set to host “Neville Moose Pierre Basketball Tournament” at Marigot Wiers Hard Court. The sports event is slated September 15 to October 1, 2023.
Presented by Sunrise Sports Club, the basketball tournament will serve perfect three weekends of Hardcore Basketball. The event will feature “Team 5 on 5 team”. The registration fee for the basketball tournament is $150.
The government of Dominica invited the teams and citizens in the tournament. It will also feature several prizes for the winners. The prizes of the Basketball Tournament will be included:
- The winner of the tournament will be awarded with $2000.
- The team who will secure the second place will be awarded with $1000.
Additionally, the tournament will start with huge official opening ceremony on September 15, 2023 at 6 pm. The ceremony will feature the introduction of the participating teams, players, sponsors and other stakeholders of the tournament.
The government will encourage the team for the good performance. Besides this, the ceremony will feature several other fun activities and entertainment. The ceremony will also outline basic criteria of the playing, judgement and prize money.
Further, the schedule of the matches of two days has been announced. After the opening ceremony, the first match of the tournament will take place on September 15, 2023. The second match will be held on September 17, 2023.
The schedule of the match will be updated with every passing day. The matches of the tournament will be held every weekend.

On September 15, 2023
- The matches of the tournament will be started at 7: 30 pm. The first match will be held between Sunrise vs Paix Bouche. The team will compete each other and commence the tournament.
On September 17, 2023
The day will host two matches of the tournament.
- The first match of the day will be held between Warriors and Baa Sharks at 6: 00 pm.
- The second match of the day will be held between 767SC and D Treads Blazers at 7: 30 pm.
The sponsors of the basketball tournament are Anthony Samora Charles, Daba, Paritech, Ministry of Sports of Dominica, Johnny Leggre Afred, Ghaddaffi Prevost and Brun Philip.
The basketball tournament in Marigot will enhance the sportsmanship of the players. It will serve the perfect opportunity for the players to excel in the sports and increase their capabilities in the basketball.
The tournament will also help the students to encounter with new opportunities in life.
