The Commonwealth of Dominica Division of Culture is all set to host the "National Creole Couple Competition" and is now open for registration.

Roseau, Dominica: The Commonwealth of Dominica Division of Culture is all set to host the “National Creole Couple Competition” and is now open for registration. The Division outlined the guidelines, rules and regulations of the competition.Ā 

National Creole Couple Competition- REGISTRATION NOW OPEN

  • Participants should be between the ages of 18 and 25
  • Participants should be from the same district
  • Must be citizens of the Commonwealth of Dominica
  • Participants should not be married and have never been married
  • Participants Must have a clean police record

There will be four rounds of the competition, including the performing talent, creole contemporary wear, national wear and cultural awareness.Ā 

COMPETITION ROUNDS ARE AS FOLLOWS:Ā 

  • PERFORMING TALENT | CREOLE CONTEMPORARY WEAR
  • NATIONAL WEAR | CULTURAL AWARENESS

The Commonwealth of Dominica Division of Culture took to Facebook, shared the update and stated that for MORE INFORMATION, people can CONTACT: 266-4488 | 266-4527.Ā 

Registration forms can be collected at the Old Mill Cultural Centre or filled out via the online link. DEADLINE FOR REGISTRATION: FRIDAY, JUNE 1ST, 2023

Further, the Commonwealth of Dominica Division of Culture will also host the 2023 MADAM WOB DWIYET PAGEANT and invited the application for registration.Ā 

2023 MADAM WOB DWIYET PAGEANT: The guidelines are as follows:Ā 

  • Women over the age of 50
  • Must be a citizen of the Commonwealth of Dominica
  • Participants Must have a clean police record
  • Please note that a VALID Police Record should be submitted with the completed form

APPLICATIONS ARE AVAILABLE AT THE OLD MILL CULTURAL CENTRE

Forms can be collected the Old Mill Cultural Centre, District Development Officers (D.D.O), District Development Assistants or at the Local Government Department. Registration closes two weeks before the date of the relevant district Festival.
