The Commonwealth of Dominica is all set to host the international cricket in the country. The event will be hosted in July this year, where countries from across the globe will participate and compete with their own team called the West Indies cricket team.

Roseau, Dominica: The Commonwealth of Dominica is all set to host the international cricket in the country. The event will be hosted in July this year, where countries from across the globe will participate and compete with their own team called the West Indies cricket team.
Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit announced the commencement of the cricket match through his Facebook Post. He noted, “International cricket returns to Dominica this July.”
The matches will be held in July, and the T20 series will be started on July 2, 2022.
Further, PM Roosevelt Skerrit also informed that Cricket Operations Manager Roland Holder and Event Management Executive Jonee Charles of Cricket West Indies (CWI) landed in Dominica to analyse and discuss the significance of preparations for the international cricket match.
The preparations for the T20 matches in Dominica are in full swing, and the upcoming matches will be earmarked for the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit stated, “Cricket Operations Manager Roland Holder and Event Management Executive Jonee Charles of Cricket West Indies (CWI) are in Dominica today to discuss preparations for upcoming T20 matches that will be held at Windsor Park Sports Stadium.”
He further said that the West Indies would be taken place in Bangladesh in back to back T20 clashes on July 2-3, 2022.
Prime Minister Skerrit asserted, “West Indies will take on Bangladesh in back to back T20 clashes on July 2-3, 2022.”
Earlier, the international cricket ournament for the people of Dominica was held at Windsor Park stadium, which was held in New Zealand in the third Colonial Media Insurance ODI and the first T20I in July 2022.
However, the stadium of Dominica was undergone construction and renovations after the country was struck by Hurricane Maria in September 2017.
So, for this year, the nature island of the Caribbean is all set to welcome the international cricket tournament in the country.
