Dominica to host “Calypso Monarch 2022 Semi-Finals, 20 contestant to compete

Roseau, Dominica: The Commonwealth of Dominica is all set to host the “Calypso Semi-Finals” on February 4, 2023, at Carnival City (Windsor Park Sports Stadium forecourt). The event will be started at 8: 30 pm and 20 calypsonians will participate in the competition.

Dominica Festivals took to Facebook while sharing the update and invited the citizens of Dominica to be part of the most mesmerizing a of the Carnival- Mas Domnik 2023 (The Real Mas 2023). It cited,” The countdown is ON. This Saturday is the Calypso Semi-finals. Join our competitors as they continue their journey to the Calypso Monarch 2023 throne.”

The event will select the finals of the Calypso and pave their journey to the Calypso Monarch 2023 throne.

The details of the tickets are as follows:

• People who want the tickets to stand in the event will be 50XCD
• People who want the tickets to sit in the competition will be 60XCD.

Dominica Festivals also announced the early bird tickets for the Calypso Finals which are as follows:

• For the advance booking, the ticket price will be $85.00. It will be limited until Febraury 11, 2023
• After Feb 11, the price will be increased to $100.00

The tickets will be available at Bull’s Eye Pharmacy and Depen Colour Lab.

Dominica launched the Mas Domnik on Janaury 14, 2023 with the official opening ceremony and hosted various events such as opening street parade and many more.

The Carnival Mother’s Queen show is back for The Real Mas. People will celebrate the culture and carnival with the 5 contestants as they vie for the throne
