Dominica to host 13th National Youth Awards, unveils names of nominees

The National Youth Council of Dominica announced the hosting of the 13th National Youth Awards of the country. After five years, the NYCD is to celebrate the distinguished efforts of youth in and beyond the country. It will take place on Monday, September 26 2022.

Roseau, Dominica: The National Youth Council of Dominica announced the hosting of the 13th National Youth Awards of the country. After five years, the NYCD is to celebrate the distinguished efforts of youth in and beyond the country. It will take place on Monday, September 26 2022.

NYCD also unveiled the name of the youth who got nominated for the awards across various categories. Nominations were opened to the public to nominate as many individuals across as many Award categories, and they have over 35 nominees across 14 Award categories.

The nominees for the 2022 Outstanding Youth in Indigenous Cultural and Traditional Preservation Award and Outstanding Youth in Agriculture:

  • The Outstanding Youth in Indigenous Cultural & Traditional Preservation Award recognizes the contributions and efforts of our Kalinago youth to the preservation of Kalinago culture.
