Dominica: Ten schools qualify for intermediate round of Primary Schools Netball Festival

Ten schools/teams of Dominica have qualified for the intermediate round of the Sports Division Primary Schools Netball Festival.

Roseau, Dominica: Ten schools/teams of Dominica have qualified for the intermediate round of the Sports Division Primary Schools Netball Festival.

The teams will be divided into two groups of five, with competition to take place at Marigot and the Windsor Park forecourt. The top two from each zone will advance to the final round.

The Intermediate Round will be held on Wednesday, June 28, 2023, from 1:30 pm.

The qualifiers are as follows: 

  • Salisbury Primary
  • Coulibistrie/Colihaut Primary(Combined)
  • W.S.Stevens Primary
  • Wesley Primary
  • Concord Primary
  • Atkinson Primary
  • Newtown Primary
  • Pioneer Preparatory
  • St.John’s Primary
  • Thibaud/Bense Primary(Combined)

Newtown Primary and Pioneer Preparatory topped Zone E in Primary Schools Netball Festival earlier today. Zone E of the Primary Schools Netball Festival took place on Wednesday, at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium forecourt. 

Five schools participated in this event :

  • Giraudel Primary
  • Massacre Primary
  • Newtown Primary
  • Pioneer Preparatory
  • Roseau Primary.

Newton Primary and Pioneer Preparatory have advanced to the next round. St.Johns Primary (A) and Thibaud/Bense (combined) advance to the next round of Primary Schools Netball Festival. 

In Zone C of the Primary Schools Netball Festival which took place today at Wesley:

The following schools participated:

  • Paix Bouche Primary
  • Roosevelt Douglas Primary (A&B)
  • St. John’s Primary (A&B)
  • Thibaud/Bense (Combined)

St. John ‘s(A) and Thibaud/Bense have advanced to the next round following the day’s competition.

Concord Primary emerged the top school among the three schools present, Atkinson Primary came second. The other school in the festival was the Salybia Primary.

Salisbury Primary and Colihaut/Coulibistrie combined have qualified from Zone A to the next round of the Primary Schools Netball Festival. Salisbury Primary took the top spot while Colihaut/Coulibistrie combined placed second from the zone, which took place at Salisbury Primary School hard court.

WS Stevens Primary and Wesley Primary have qualified from Zone D played at Marigot today in the Primary Schools Netball Festival. WS Stevens took the top spot whilst Wesley Primary came 2nd. Both Schools will advance to the second round of the festival on June 23rd.
