Dominica: Sports Divison Secondary Schools Football Championship resumes 

The Sports Division of Dominica Secondary  Schools Football Championship resumed today after the exams break in the Under 15 Division at Stock Farm.

Roseau, Dominica: The Sports Division of Dominica Secondary  Schools Football Championship resumed today after the exams break in the Under 15 Division at Stock Farm.

The Castle Bruce Secondary School defeated the Pierre Charles Secondary School by six goals to Nil. It was a good outting for Birthday boy Alison Gasper, who got a hattrick for CBSS, Nikayel Laurent got a brace and Kimani Rodney 1.

The first half was very competitive with the PCSS Goalkeeper making a number of saves aided by his defenders, to hold CBSS to a slender 1 goal to nil lead at the half.

In the second half, CBSS ran all over the PCSS by scoring 5 goals and keeping a clean sheet in the process.

The championship continues tomorrow with two matches in the Under 17 Division; at Londonderry, the Portsmouth Secondary School will play the North East Comprehensive School, while the game originally scheduled for Newtown between the Castle Bruce Secondary School and the Goodwill Secondary School of Dominica will now take place at the StockFarm complex. Both games start at 2:30 pm.

The Sports Division Secondary Schools Football Championship returns Thursday after the Exams break. On Thursday in the Under 15 Division the Castle Bruce Secondary School will face the Pierre Charles Secondary School in Stock Farm at 2:30 pm.

On Friday in the Under 17 Division the, Portsmouth Secondary School of Dominica will come up against the North East Comprehensive School at Londonderry whilst at Newtown the Goodwill Secondary School will battle the Castle Bruce Secondary School both games begin at 2:30 pm.

After years of inactivity, the Londonderry playing field will host it’s first competitive football match on Friday 9th December. The home team North East Comprehensive School will take on the Portsmouth Secondary School of Dominica in the Under 17 division of the Sports Division Secondary Schools Football Championship from 2:30 pm.

Earlier today, members of the Wesley and Woodford Hill NEP beautification teams were busy undertaking lawn maintenance activities to ensure the readiness of the field. Earlier in the year the Sports Division installed new goalposts on the field of Dominica.
