Dominica: Sports Division announces results of Secondary Schools Netball Championship

Roseau, Dominica: Sports Division of the Commonwealth of Dominica announced the results of the Secondary Schools Netball Championship that was played on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, at Benjamin’s Park.  

Two matches were played in the Secondary Schools Netball Championship on Tuesday, January 24, at Benjamin’s Park. In the Under 16 Division, North East Comprehensive School (A) defeated St. John’s Academy 22-8.

In the Under 20 Division, North East Comprehensive School went down to the Academix School of Learning 25-42

The girls preparing for the Regional Under 16 netball tournament continued with preparations earlier today with another training session. The 2023 Caribbean Netball Association Regional under-16 tournament will be held at the Windsor Park Stadium forecourt from March 25 to April 1.

The Sports Division selected over 30 students from its school’s programme in preparation for the tournament, and training commenced in December.

Sports Division of Dominica also shared the update on Easy Wins For The Girls From DGS And CHS Today In Schools Volleyball. Two matches were played at the CHS grounds today in the Sports Division Secondary Schools Volleyball Championship.

• Game 1: Dominica Grammar School defeated ORION Academy 3 – 0
• Set scores : 25:16, 25:10, 25:8
• Game 2: Convent High School defeated Wesley High School 3 – 0
• Set scores : 25:8, 25:11, 25:21
