Roseau, Dominica: The Commonwealth of Dominica is all set to host the Carnival Princess Show on February 5, 2023, at Stadium Forecourt. 5 young girls in elementary schools across Dominica will compete for the title of Carnival Princess 2023.
The show is part of the Carnival of Dominica- The Real Mas 2023 and will be started at 3 pm. Dominica Festivals shared the update on its Facebook Page and added,” It’s the Dominica Carnival Princess Show. 5 young girls from elementary schools across Dominica will compete for the title of Carnival Princess 2023.”
The five young girls who will participate in the show are as follows:
The entrance will be charged to the pockets of the visitors. The price of the ticket will be varied for the children, adults, and seating which are as follows:
Dominica Festivals asked the people to come and support their youth for Mas Domnik on February 5th at Carnival City from 3 pm.
Dominica hosted the opening ceremony of the Carnival- The Real Mas 2023 in order to celebrate the authentic culture, costumes, values, songs and traditional customs of the country with different and unique events and activities such as Miss Dominica Pageant 2023, Junior Calypso Monarch and many more.
The opening ceremony witnessed the love of culture and the Real Mas back with Mas An Lawi- Mas in the streets! From costume bands to pageants, J’ouvert, ole mas, traditional costumes, calypso and so much more, come experience the Caribbean’s most original carnival.
The theme song of the Carnival 2023 is “Real Mas” by Dominican artists Daddy Chess, Tasha P, Trilla G, and Peter Letang.
Carnival Time in the Nature Isle of the Caribbean is more than just the Sewo. It’s a time for us all to come together and embrace our culture. Earlier, Ole Mas brought Good Vibes to the Streets of Pointe Michel without a big band on the Road, but our Traditional Lapo Kabwit, Sen Says, Bwa Bwa, Black Devils, and more. After two years of being denied Carnival in Dominica, they are certainly coming back Strong.
