Dominica: Roseau Central’s 2022 Santa’s Mall opens, Melissa Skerrit shares glimpses

Roseau Central's 2022 Santa's Mall officially opened on Friday, December 9, 2022. Melissa Poponne Skerrit- Parliamentary Representative for Roseau Central constituency, shared glimpses of the Santa Mall and invited the people to enjoy the much-awaited festival- Christmas in Dominica. 

Roseau, Dominica: Roseau Central’s 2022 Santa’s Mall officially opened on Friday, December 9, 2022. Melissa Poponne Skerrit- Parliamentary Representative for Roseau Central constituency, shared glimpses of the Santa Mall and invited the people to enjoy the much-awaited festival- Christmas in Dominica. 

The soft opening of the Santa’s Mall was held at Dame Eugenia Charles BLVD, Bayfront, at 7 pm. Melissa Skerrit asserted that, once again, they bring joy, celebration, and happiness with the start of the festive season. The Mall will be open until January 4, 2022. 

She cited,” It’s that time of year again! It’s the season for joy, family, and celebrations. Once again, my team and I bring to Roseau Central the Santa’s Mall Roseau Christmas District!! Come with friends and family to bring in the season at Santa’s Mall.” 

The opening of the Mall featured music, entertainment, and many more fun activities for children. The event has opened the doors of employment for vendors and local artisans to sell their products during the Christmas season. 

Visitors also witnessed various exciting and magnificent gift shops with products portraying the vibrant and authentic culture of Dominica and the glorious history of Christmas eve. Along with that, Santa’s Mall also featured local crafts mesmerizing the visitors with their skills and talents. 

Besides this, Santa’s Mall was filled with fun activities for the kids enhancing their joy and celebration of the eve.   

The Christmas Parade will be held on December 16, 2022. Melissa Skerrit shared glimpses of the Mall showcasing exciting decorations and fun activities, which will be taken place from December 9 to January 4, 2022. 

The celebration will feature music, dance, exciting activities, and a fun plaza. It will capture the attention of the audience across the globe and create a platform for local people to interact with international tourists with their exciting products. Santa’s Mall will also provide the chance to local crafts to showcase their talents and skills with their creativity and the product to the foreigners and capture their memorable response. 

Besides this, the celebration will also work as a chance to create new and exciting memories with their families in the Nature Isle of the Caribbean- Dominica. It will provide the chance to witness the mesmerizing beauty of the country in luring lights and activities. 

Melissa Skerrit outlined that the people have witnessed the performance of the Sixth Form Sisserou Singers. She added,” With a surprise visit and performance by the Sixth Form Sisserou Singers we have started off the season splendidly! So bring friends and family and come on down to the Santa’s Mall on the Roseau Bayfront and enjoy.”
