Roseau, Dominica: Roosevelt Douglas Primary and St.Lukes Primary are through to the finals of the National Bank of Dominica Ltd Sports Division Primary Schools Boys Division One Football Tournament on Friday, May 5, 2023. The semifinals of the game gave two teams for the finals.
Sports Division of Dominica took to Facebook and announced the results of the semifinal matches of the Football tournament.
In the first semifinal
Roosevelt Douglas Primary won by two goals to 1 over the Castle Bruce Primary. Adan Ridriguez and Ezekiel Brunant scored one goal each for Roosevelt Douglas Primary School. Roqson Coipel got the lone goal for Castle Bruce Primary.
In the second semifinal
St Luke’s Primary defeated Saint Mary’s Primary by two goals to nil.
Zael Joseph got both goals for St.Lukes Primary.
The Third place match between Castle Bruce Primary School and Saint Mary’s Primary in the National Bank of Dominica Ltd Sports Division Primary Schools Boys Division One football competition played on Friday, May 5 2023.
They had to be decided in overtime after the scores were tied at three goals apiece at the end of regulation time. Roqson Coipel scored all three goals for Castle Bruce Primary. While Che’ Etienne got a brace(2), and Lemarie Frederick scored one each for Saint Mary’s Primary.
In overtime, Jayden Charles and Lemarie Frederick scored one each to give Saint Mary’s Primary five goals to 3 victories after (10′) Minutes of extra time. Saint Mary’s Primary captured 3rd place.
Third Place Medals were presented to Saint Mary’s Primary by Sports Officer Fiona Vidal in the National Bank of Dominica Ltd Sports Division Primary Schools boys Division One football competition.
Sports Division of Dominica also announced the results of Schoolboys Basketball From Benjamin’s Park on Friday. In the Sports Division Secondary Schools Boys Basketball Championship at Benajmins Park:
