Dominica: PM Skerrit shared report on Covid-19, confirms 94 new cases

Dominica: Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, through his social media post on Twitter, shared the latest update report on Covid-19 cases today. According to the report, Dominica has recorded 94 new cases of coronavirus on December 29, 2021.

PM Skerrit shared a report of the Ministry of Health, Wellness, and New Health investment, Dominica, which stated that 92 tests had been conducted by the Antigen, while RT-PCR was used to test 3 tests.

As per the report, with the emergence of new cases, the active cases of the COVID-19 mount to 301, while 47 people succumbed to the deadly virus on Wednesday.

Moreover, 18 people were diagnosed with Covid-19 have been discharged from the hospital.

As per the recovery status, a total of 6466 patients have been recovered since the pandemic has emerged in the country, while 6814 cases have been tested positive so far.

Commonwealth of Dominica has conducted a total of 124840 tests of Covid-19 to date, of which the RT-PCR procedure was used to conduct 31489 tests, while the Antigen procedure was used for 93351 tests.

According to the vaccination statics, the number of individuals who have taken their first jab of the vaccine against the coronavirus pandemic is 30630.

On the other hand, a total of 28345 individuals are fully vaccinated as they have taken their required number of doses against the deadly virus.

The covid-19 pandemic has grasped the whole world, and people have been struggling with the virus for the last two years.

Till now, a total of 284,911,374 persons have been exposed to the contagious mutant, of which 5,438,718 people have succumbed to the deadliest virus.

On the other hand, a total of 252,575,533 individuals have recovered from the viral infection so far.

The government of Commonwealth of Dominica urged people to combat the virus; each person had to strictly follow the protocols stated by the authorities. Moreover, vaccination is the best solution for the global coronavirus problem.
