Roseau, Dominica: On the special occasion of Easter, the wishes have come from across the globe on April 17, 2022, Sunday. The festival brings great joy and blessings in the Christain as it is mostly celebrated in the community residing across the world.
The day of Easter has been marked and remembered in the name of Jesus Christ as it is believed that on the day, people take it as a return of Christ to the earth after sacrificing his life for the sake of humanity.
He was proved as the true son of God after his resurrection on the day. Due to resurrection, he becomes able to defeat evil and death before ascending to heaven.
Similar to Christmas, Easter is not celebrated on a fixed date. As per the holy book “Bible,” the day is celebrated three days later the crucifixion of Jesus by Romans and concludes the “Passion of Christ”, which begins with 40 days of fasting – Lent and is finished by the Holy Week.
On the special occasion, Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Dominica, Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, extended great wishes and blessings to the entire Christian community on the eve of Easter.
PM Skerrit noted, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die.” – John 11:25-26. May you have a Blessed and Holy Easter with your loved ones.”

In addition to that, Melissa Skerrit, the parliamentary constituency of Roseau Central, poured blessings on the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
On her social media post, she asserted, “Roseau Central the Easter Bunny is delivering your Easter Eggs! Parents, don’t forget to have your own Easter Egg Hunt with your little ones tomorrow morning.”
She also shared a video of social media in which it could be seen that how she celebrated the day.
Meanwhile, Minister of Health, Wellness and New Health Investment Dr Irving Mclntrye greets people with warm wishes. He said, “Greetings to all! May you experience peace and joy as you celebrate the glory of our risen Lord this Easter. Wishing you an abundance of blessings, health, peace and happiness. Happy Easter Sunday.”
