Roseau, Dominica: Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit will host the press conference on Monday, January 16, 2023, at the Ministry of Finance Conference Room. The conference will be started at 10: 00 am. He asked the citizens to remain tuned in for an update on matters of national importance.

The conference will feature a discussion on various matters of concern. PM Roosevelt Skerrit will provide an update on the new measures of the government of Dominica. He will talk about the series of new initiatives which will be implemented in the upcoming times.

Prime Minister Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit took to social media and invited the citizens to join the press conference. He cited,” Greetings, I invite you to tune in for an update on matters of national importance.”

PM Dr. Roosevelt Skerrit stated that the Minister for National Security and Legal Affairs, Rayburn Blackmoore will also provide an update on the E-Passport and the E-Passport Issuing System.

He will share every required information regarding the E-passport and the E-passport issuing system of the Commonwealth of Dominica.

PM Roosevelt Skerrit stated that the citizens could watch the live press conference on the Facebook page of the prime minister and GIS Dominica. Along with that, the press conference will be aired live on the YouTube page of the government of Dominica at 10: 00 am.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit would also touch the matters related to the financial aspects of the country and announce the initiatives for boosting its economy at the conference. The travel updates would also be the topic for discussion in the press conference.

The GIS Dominica through its Facebook Page also shared an update about the press conference of PM Roosevelt Skerrit and invited the citizens to join it with a live telecast from Facebook and YouTube.

The press conference would also shed a light upon the eighteen housing units distributed by PM Roosevelt Skerrit in Bataca and Sineku. He would also talk about the housing units constructed under climate-resilient housing revolution initiatives.

The government of Dominica under the leadership of PM Roosevelt Skerrit launched various plans and strategies for the different sectors of the country. Earlier, PM Skerrit and Melissa Skerrit handed over eighteen housing units to families who lost their houses in Bataca and Sineku following the passage of Hurricane Maria.

Recently, the government of Dominica approved a contract for the restoration of the lighting of the Windsor Park Sports Stadium. The Stadium was severely damaged by the passage of Hurricane Maria. The government has spent well over 8 million dollars for the rehabilitation of WPSS.
