Dominica: PM Roosevelt Skerrit extends support to Dream 11 Nature Isle T10 Tournament

Prime Minister of Dominica- Dr Roosevelt Skerrit extended his full support to the Dream 11 Nature Isle T10 Tournament.

Roseau, Dominica: Prime Minister of Dominica- Dr Roosevelt Skerrit extended his full support to the Dream 11 Nature Isle T10 Tournament. In his recent Facebook post, he expressed pleasure in the staging of the much-anticipated cricket tournament. 

He said, “The government of Dominica is proud to support the Dream 11 Nature Isle T10 Tournament.” The tournament was bowled off on Thursday at the Windsor Park Sports Stadium.

In the glimpses shared by PM Roosevelt Skerrit on his social media handles, it was seen that the members of the Dominica Cricket Association (DCA) Executive dropped by this morning for a quick chat and update on the games.

In order to extend full support to the tournament, PM Roosevelt Skerrit wore the Dream 11 jersey gifted by the Dominica Cricket Association. He also invited the visitors and audience to support the games, which helps in enhancing sporting skills in the Nature Isle. 

Melissa Skerrit- Parliamentary Representative for Roseau Central Constituency also present in the meeting and extended her full support to the tournament. They also gifted a jersey to the parliamentary representative.

 

PM Roosevelt Skerrit, while asking for support, stated, “Go out and support our talented cricketers in this exciting short-form tournament which runs until Thursday, June 8th 2023.” 

Six teams have participated in the Dream 11 Nature Isle T10 Tournament, including Champagne Reef Divers, Indian River Rowers, Titou Gorge Splashers, Valley Hikers, Barana Aute Warriors and Sari Sari Sunrisers. 

 The first match of the tournament was held between Sari Sari Sunrisers and Indian River Rowers on Thursday. The second match of the day was held between Champagne Reef Divers and Barana Aute Warriors. The sponsors of the cricket team are FFI, Signal, Coca-Cola, KFC, TIG, DBS Radio, and Juices Plus.

The tournaments are aired live on the Facebook page of Vibeanty, Dominica Cricket and DBS Broadcast, which is 89.5 FM and 104.7 FM. On Friday. the matches were held between four teams, such as Valley Hikers vs Titou Gorge Splashers and Champagne Reef Divers vs Indian River Rowers.
