Dominica: PM Roosevelt Skerrit and other leaders extend wishes on New Year 2023

On the occasion of the new year, Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, along with the leaders and Parliamentary Representative of the Commonwealth of Dominica, extended warm greetings and wishes to the people.

Roseau, Dominica: On the occasion of the new year, Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit, along with the leaders and Parliamentary Representative of the Commonwealth of Dominica, extended warm greetings and wishes to the people. 

Prime Minister Dr Roosevelt Skerrit recalled the problems faced by the country in 2022 and talked about the reset in Dominica. He extended greetings filled with hope and peace as the country prepares to welcome this New Year, 2023. 

He noted, “I wish every one of you a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous New Year and give you the assurance that the Government and I look forward to working with you on these New Year’s resolutions which will help us achieve Dynamic Dominica.” 

Wishes also came from Melissa Skerrit- Parliamentary Representative for Roseau Central Constituency, who said, “Happy New Year. Wishing a blessed, healthy and happy year to everyone.” 

She asserted that 2022 was filled with so many notable moments, numerous projects and ventures, giving back to the community, putting people before politics, and balancing family and work. 

Melissa Skerrit added, “In the 2022 year, I fought for the people and principles I believe In with God, family, friends and supporters always there beside me.” 

Parliamentary Representative for Grand Bay Constituency– Dr Irving McItrye, also joined the other leaders to pour wishes on the occasion of New Year 2023. He said, “Greetings, everyone. Thank you for all the love, support and encouragement during 2022. I wish each of you prosperity and success as we journey together in 2023. Happy New Year.” 

Along with that, Roland Royer- Parliamentary Representative for Cottage Constituency, extended greetings on New Year with a warm message. He added, “Wishing you and your family a Happy New Year filled with hope, health, happiness and prosperity.” 

While suggesting people welcome the new year with hope and happiness, Dr McIntyre said, “Let the old year end and the New Year begin with the warmest of aspirations. God Bless you.” 

Denise Charles- Parliamentary Representative for Soufriere Constituency and Ministry of Tourism, said, “A Year to think more of my neighbour and a Little Less of Me; Gracious and Gratitude.”

Ministry of Tourism, International Transport and Maritime Initiatives also extended wishes on the occasion of New Year. 

It added, “We Welcome #2023 with Open Hands! Cheers to many more adventures and undiscovered beauty in the Nature Island #Dominica! Happy New Year.”Â
