Dominica: NJFA/HARLEM advances to finals Central U15 football league

Newtown Juvenile Football Academy/Harlem United U15 team are through to the finals of the Dominica Football Association Central Credit Union U15 football league.

Roseau, Dominica: Newtown Juvenile Football Academy/Harlem United U15 team are through to the finals of the Dominica Football Association Central Credit Union U15 football league.

Newtown Juvenile Football Academy took to Facebook and shared the update. It stated that they did so following a hard fought 4 goals to 1 victory over The East Central U15’S at the Almond Park in Dublanc on Saturday 11th March 2023.

Behind a masterclass performance in Midfield both on the Defensive side and the offensive end from player of the match Sherquan Mills NJFA/HARLEM United was able to reach yet again another finals in Dominica Football Association Football League. 

Angel Bellot get the opener for the NJFA midway in the first half when he outran the East Central defense on a ball played over the top by captain Elvon Clifton- John and shot to the left of the East Central Goalkeeper for a 1 goal lead.

Both teams created several good goal scoring opportunities after NJFA/HARLEM in Dominica took the lead but it was East Central who got the equalizer when Ravon Coipel got pass the NJFA/HARLEM defender on the right getting into the box he hit a left footer which beat the diving NJFA/HARLEM Goalkeeper to his right on his near post.

East Central celebration however did not last to long as Madawik Garraway put NJFA/HARLEM back into the lead with a right footer after the ball rebounded of the cross bar he controlled and let loose a right foot shot into the back of the net just before the interval. At the half NJFA/Harlem United 2 East Central 1.

In the second half it was all NJFA/HARLEM United within 5 minutes NJFA/HARLEM in Dominica was awarded a penalty when Konrad Simon was brought down in the box, Angel Bellot stepped up and converted coolly to the right of the Goalkeeper for a 3 goals to 1 lead. From there on NJFA/HARLEM took complete control of the game as East Central found it very difficult to created any chances in the second half. 

Captain Elvon Clifton John at the back Sherquan Mills and substitute Johnsly Meliard in the midfield made life very difficult and Angel Bellot a menace up front.

NJFA/HARLEM United was not done scoring yet as Angel Bellot went on the register his second Hat trick of the season when he got pass the East Central defense and calmly placed the ball to the left of the out rushing East Central Goalkeeper for his hat trick and NJFA/HARLEM United 4th goal.
