Roseau, Dominica: Member of Parliament for Roseau Central Constituency Melissa Poponne Skerrit visited the Chinese Embassy to further stronger the sports industry in the capital of the Commonwealth of Dominica.
She stated that the visit has come in the wake of the strengthening and upliftment of the sports industry with great sports infrastructure and creative plans.
Parliamentary Representative Melissa Skerrit also declared that the government of the People’s Republic of China had approved requests for the further development of sports tourism in the city.
She said that with the significant investment and creative plans from the Chinese Embassy, the government of Dominica would be assisted in uplifting the sports tourism in the city. It will also further enhance the sports sector in the country.
Melissa Skerrit noted, “My birthday brought along blessings for my people of Roseau Central. During my visit to the Chinese Embassy, I was informed that the Government of the People’s Republic of China has approved requests for the further development of sports tourism in the city.”
She exclaimed that she was very “excited about the great plans to come.”
Earlier, Parliamentary Representative celebrated her 46th birthday on Wednesday, May 4, 2022. She expressed her happiness after getting warm wishes and blessings.
Melissa Skerrit noted, “I am so appreciative of each and every one of you for your lovely birthday wishes. To the businesses which also extended their kind regards, I am humbled.”
