Roseau, Dominica: Melissa Poponne Skerrit- Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau Central Constituency of Dominica hosted the Christmas party for the Children of her constituency as part of the celebration of Christmas eve on Thursday, December 22, 2022. She invited the children to join her for a party at City Breeze Apartments.
The party started at 4 pm on Thursday. The event featured various types of fun activities, food music, and fun games for the children. Melissa Skerrit interacted with the children and encourage them to join the celebration of the Christmas festival.
With a lot of fun activities and fun games, the entire environment was filled with excitement, entertainment, and the chirping of the little and cute kids of Roseau Central Constituency. Along with that, the party consisted of the fun games such as paintings, musical chairs, and various rides to entertain the children of the constituency. Besides this, Melissa Skerrit also distributed toys and gifts to the children to encourage them to further such events and taught them the significance of Christmas.
Melissa Poponne Skerrit secured a landslide victory in the Roseau Central Constituency again in the December 6 snap general elections. She has always committed to working for the upliftment of the people of the constituency and organized numerous events to celebrate festivals of the country.
Earlier, on December 9, 2022, she officially opened Santa’s Mall which is not only to celebrate Christmas eve but to create a platform for the vendors and local business people to establish their businesses and encourage employment.
She stated that Roseau Central’s 2022 Santa’s Mall has officially opened. With a surprise visit and performance by the Sixth Form Sisserou Singers, we have started off the season splendidly. Melissa Skerrit asked the people to bring friends and family and come on down to Santa’s Mall on the Roseau Bayfront and enjoy.
Melissa Skerrit also presented Roseau Christmas Parade on Wednesday, December 21, 2022, at the Stadium Road to Santa’s Mall. The Children across the constituency joined the parade and interacted with Santa and his helper and presented them the gifts, toys, and played exciting games and fun activities.
She announced that the first Roseau Central Christmas Parade was a hit with the kiddies. The constituency witnessed the huge excitement and cheerfulness from the children and their excitement and happiness truly gives her joy and makes all the effort worthwhile.
She extended gratitude to the sponsors and the attendees and added, ”Thank you to everyone who was involved in putting this together. You guys are awesome! And remember everyone, Santa’s Mall is open for the season.
