Roseau, Dominica: Melissa Poponne Skerrit- Parliamentary Representative for Roseau Central Constituency, extended warm wishes and greetings to Adicia Burton for winning the title of the Miss Kalinago 2022 competition.

In the Miss Kalinago Pageant 2022, Melissa Skerrit sponsored Adicia Burton and called her cute and well-spoken.
While showing her pleasure, Melissa Skerrit stated that she is extremely proud of her and her representation as City Chic for Roseau Central. She stated that Burton has truly commanded the stage and, as a result, copped the awards for ‘Best Kalinago Fashion Wear’, ‘Best Talent’ and ‘Miss Intelligent‘.

Born in the hamlet of Crayfish River of the Kalinago Territory in Dominica, Adicia Burton was raised as a disciplined scholar and athlete. She has also emerged as an art and culture enthusiast. While believing in her herself and the holistic development of any individual, she always lived a life with her own style, which is attributed to her upbringing.
After capturing the title of Salybia Primary School Princess Pageant in 2010, she emerged as a winner in the national title of the Dominica Carnival Princess Show in 2012.
In the primary and secondary schools, Adicia Burton bagged the title of student of the year in the Castle Bruce Secondary School. In the 2019 CSEC examinations, Burton secured her position in the top three scholars in Dominica and was praised for her excellent performance. She also represented the country at regional and international tournaments in various sporting disciplines.
She also remained a great athlete as, at the age of 15; she secured the dynamic duo title after winning Youth Olympic Beach Volleyball Qualifiers. Adicia Burton also represented Dominica at the 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina and is one of Dominica’s few youth Olympians.
