Roseau, Dominica: The Discover Dominica Authority has officially endorsed the IINDAT – Mwen An Sa initiative under the theme- “culture for more than a season”. As per the initiative, on every last Friday of the month for 2023, all Dominicans are encouraged to wear anything representing madras and the culture of the country.

Dominica is home to a rich Afro-Caribbean culture with colourful madras fashion, fresh local cuisine, infectious music, and so much more. This is why they say culture is more than just for a season. From stylish Chapo pais to tie pins, t-shirts, dresses, and skirts (or a full wob), celebrate the heritage, culture, and history of Waitukubuli.

Get your outfits ready for Friday, April 28, to represent. It stated that people will have to post their pictures with IINDAT and MwenAnSa and tag us at Discover Dominica and IINDAT.

The dates for the initiatives are as follows:

Dominica is all about untapped experiences with unique adventures nestled deep in the heart of nature.

The scenic community of Portsmouth, nestled in the north of Dominica is the historic Cabrits National Park, where the signature music event is hosted. Featuring Fort Shirley and scenic views of Prince Rupert’s Bay, this national park is a natural lookout of the Caribbean region, filled with rich history and culture. The streets of Dominica came alive with music, dance, tradition, culture, costumes, and colourful displays in celebration of Mas An Lawi.
