Dominica Labour Party thanks voters for securing victory in snap elections

Following the landslide victory in December 6 snap general elections, the candidates of the Dominica Labour Party extended gratitude with warm wordings to the citizens for paving their path to the parliament for the next five years. 

Roseau, Dominica: Following the landslide victory in December 6 snap general elections, the candidates of the Dominica Labour Party extended gratitude with warm wordings to the citizens for paving their path to the parliament for the next five years. 

Firstly, the thank you note came from Melissa Poponne Skerrit, who secured the Roseau Central constituency with 1023 votes. While expressing gratitude, Melissa Skerrit cited, “My sincerest thank you to my extremely dedicated and hard-working team. Your commitment is unmatched and greatly appreciated. Every good leader knows that without a strong team, there is little hope for success.”

Reaffirming her commitment, she added, “So thank you all for your vital part in my journey!! You are valued beyond measure, and I will continue to work hard at making you all proud.” 

Cassanni Laville of DLP also took to social media to express his gratitude to the people who chose him as the parliamentary representative from the Mahuat Constituency. 

“I express my sincerest gratitude and appreciation to all of you who supported me at the General Elections on December 6 2022. All of you who voted for me, those of you who worked hard and assisted my campaign and many of you who sent thoughts, prayers and words of encouragement, “Cassanni added. 

While promising the development of the Constituency, he noted, “It was a pleasure and privilege to discuss the concerns and hopes of the constituents from the various communities during this campaign. As Parliamentary Representative, I will continue to work and campaign for the needs and advancement of the great Mahaut Constituency. God Bless you all.” 

Octavia Alfred wishes to thank all constituents of Castle Bruce for their love and support. He secured the Constituency with 782 votes. 

“Let us move ahead prayerfully together. THANK YOU GRACIOUSLY Jesus loves you and I love you, “said the candidate. 

Fidel N Grant expressed warm wishes for the people of Wesley constituency for paving his path to the parliament. He said, “GROWING WITH GRANT. My dear Labourites of Woodford Hill, Wesley and Palm Tree, warm greetings.” 

While expressing pleasure, he added, “I thank you very much for your support during the campaign and for your vote of confidence on Election Day. To my LWO, LYO, LMO, Campaign Team, Runners, cooks, drivers, NEP interns and all who helped, I am grateful and appreciate all that you did.” 

“We sent a loud and clear message that Labour is Still the Best Choice’ for the Wesley Constituency. I look forward to us working together to develop Woodford Hill, Wesley and Palm Tree, “added Grant. 

From the Salybia constituency, Cozier P Frederick hailed the people after winning the election with 1003 votes. While showing his appreciation and pleasure, he expressed his feelings with warm wording. 

He added, “Thank you, people of the Salybia Constituency, for your votes and your faith in me in this general election. Thank you to my executive who hit the ground running as soon as the election date was called and has worked tirelessly since then.” 

“Thank you to the youth for your unwavering support. Thank you to my Labour Party family for always showing up in large numbers to support.

This could not have been done without any of you. Thank you for believing and showing by voting for the Dominica Labour Party that Labour Is Still The Best Choice. Thank you, thank you, thank you, “said the candidate. 

Dominica Labour Party won the snap general elections with 19 out of 21 seats. The two seats were secured by the two independent candidates from Marigot and Salisbury constituencies.
