Roseau, Dominica: The Ministry of Public Works and the Digital Economy invites all residents of Grand Bay and its environs to a special Town Hall Meeting. 

The meeting will be held on May 28 2022, and the topic of the special Town hall meeting will be the Digital Economy Town Hall meeting. 

In order to create awareness about digitization among the citizens of the Commonwealth of Dominica, the government have taken the initiative to promote digital education. 

So the government of Dominica has taken the initiative to create awareness about the Digital Economy. 

The meeting will be held on May 28, 2022, at around 4:00 pm. It will be commenced at Pierre Charles Secondary Scholl.

 The meeting will be held at the Pierre Charles Secondary School. Ministry has encouraged the citizens and stated, “Please make an effort to attend.”

Further, this week the project entitled “Working towards a Gender Responsive Climate Resilient Dominica” was launched in the lovely community of Belles.

This EnGenDER sub-project is being implemented with support from Global Affairs Canada and the UK Government. It will ensure that climate change and disaster risk reduction actions are better informed and seek to integrate gender equality and human rights-based approaches into disaster risk reduction.

Some of the actions under the project include the retrofitting of the Belles Catholic Church and the Caleb Laurent Primary School as hurricane shelters. Beneficiaries under the project will also include women smallholder farmers, fisherfolks and artisans.

Preparations are on the way to host international cricket at Windsor Park this summer. Recently, the Ministry of Sports facilitated upgrades to the outfield as well as the installation of the new electronic scoreboard.

The Ministry also exclaimed that they look forward to hosting these matches at one of the best venues to enjoy cricket in the region.
