Roseau, Dominica: The Commonwealth of Dominica has hosted the World Creole Music Festival 2022 with full excitement and a display of the authentic music of the country. Various artists performed at the festival. The month of October was filled with a series of activities such as Creole Day, Independence Day celebrations, and many more.
Burna Boy, Family, and management were scheduled to depart Curacao on Saturday, October 29, 2022. Subsequently, due to circumstances beyond their control, he was unable to depart Curacao. The first part of band members arrived in Dominica on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at midday.
The artist (Burna Boy) is now slated to arrive in Dominica on Sunday October 30, 2022 and will now form part of the Sunday night lineup for the World Creole Music Festival.
All patrons will be able to attend the Sunday night festival at no added cost once they show proof of Saturday night tickets that have not been scanned or a Saturday night armband. #Afrobeats star Omah Lay performed on Saturday night’s lineup.
All patrons, to enter the WCMF2022 for Sunday night, please bring either an UNSCANNED Saturday night ticket, your Saturday night armband, OR a Sunday night ticket. The gates will open at 4 pm on Sunday October 30 2022.
It’s Dominica’s Midnight Groovers. This iconic Cadance-lypso band brought the Culture through music for the World Creole Music Festival stage with the Princess of Song Michele Henderson.
Dominica has a new love for Haitian artist Enposib. Enposib lit up the festival stage with their compas for a night of pulsating rhythms.
Dominica’s very own #Signal Band on the festival stage with Shelly Alfred and Starsha. With hit singles like On My Way and their carnival display for 2023, it was pure energy in Dominica with them.
ADMIRAL T OFFICIEL brought all the energy for Sunday Night at the #WCMF 2022. This reggae dancehall artist from Guadeloupe brought amazing music, dance, and vibes.
