The government of Dominica vowed to become the first climate-resilient nation to combat the effect of climate change as being a small island nation that faced a lot of devastation due to climate change.

Hurricane Maria and various other tropicals are such impacts of the climate change, which destroyed the lives of the Dominicans as it created a huge level of displacement and left the major population of the country homeless.
